Welcome to the Advanced Spanish Grammar site!

This website is aimed to Spanish native/heritage speakers at Lehman College (SPA 309). On this site you will find resources, exercises and discussion spaces to talk about our experience as Spanish speakers based or raised in the United States.

This site is aligned with Spanish class 309, therefore it is designed to provide students with a foundation on the structure and grammar of the Spanish language while exploring the socio-political nature of the language. Students learn to identify Spanish sounds, grammatical categories, and language contact characteristics, investigating and understanding language variation, linguistic ideologies, and linguistic prestige and prejudice, among other issues, as a way to develop students’ critical linguistic awareness (CL).  All this, considering that many of the students will be future Spanish teachers.
